Hip Hop Culture & Recording

Hip Hop is the most influential medium of expression for young people today. In this course, students and instructors will explore the historical and cultural roots of hip hop expression including rapping, dee-jaying, graffiti, and break dancing. Students will exercise and develop both written and improvisational rap skills daily. Songs will be written, produced, and recorded on site in The Northwest Academy’s recording studio.
